Environmentalists are saying there needs to be an impact study to find out if there are Indiana bats in the area. Indiana bats are on the federal list of endangered species.

2. Ten people are evicted from their home every day in Akron

It's almost always because they're late paying rent. And the number of evictions is rising every month.

“So many Americans are living paycheck to paycheck now that the loss of income for a short period of time can easily lead to an eviction. Cost of rent is going up. Landlords sometimes have an incentive to evict a particular tenant who is paying lower rent because they can bring in a higher paying tenant.”

If you thought the homelessness problem was bad, it's going to get worse. Rent keeps going up, and assistance dollars are gone.
