The 2023 Capital Budget proposal includes over $31 million in transportation, including the City's annual resurfacing program and grant matching for Electric Vehicle infrastructure!

3. Witness Trees around Summit County show the toll of wars isn't confined to the battlefield
There are trees in Akron and Tallmadge. They fill up with 22 new dog tags each day — one for each veteran who dies by suicide.
4. Spoke too soon about the Louis Tomlinson tour date
Yesterday I reported that Louis Tomlinson, Matchbox Twenty and Shania Twain were coming to Blossom. I think Tomlinson still is, but there's no word when the show will happen.
5. City council members have voter's remorse after agreeing to destroy green space
Akron City Council unanimously approved a mixed-use residential and retail development called White Pond Reserve. Subsequently, dozens of residents led by a University of Akron professor criticized the destruction of what is now effectively park land and home to endangered species.
“If I had known just a smidgen of what I learned last week, I would have voted differently,” Council Member Linda Omobien said.
