1. Jayland Walker's family was happy that voters passed Issue 10
"Jayland’s family is proud to belong to the Akron community, a place where Americans used the democratic process to enact meaningful reform in honor of Jayland’s life and others who have lost their lives to police violence."
2. Akron Mayor Dan Horrigan was not
Yesterday, Akron voters approved Issue 10 which will add an amendment to Akron’s City Charter creating a permanent Citizens’ Police Oversight Board to provide independent oversight and review of policing practices within Akron.
Mayor Horrigan has issued the following statement:

3. A nursing home resident at The Merriman died of hypothermia in the woods
This is a very sad story. She was 82, had dementia and was found Tuesday morning in the woods behind the building on Merriman Road where she lived.
Her son believes the facility staff lost her after mistakenly thinking she had been signed out by family.
"All the levels of care and everybody dropped the ball. The whole entity is an egregious failure. It's horrific," he said.
4. Several I-76 ramps will be closed this week
"The ramps from I-76 eastbound and westbound to State Route 8 northbound will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday through 5 a.m. Thursday for pavement repairs."
