📰 Summit County election results
Issue 5

Weather: Today is partly cloudy with a high of 65. 🌤️
Welcome! In Akron Email Review you'll find links to local news and things to do to be a better Summit County citizen.
We also share ways to help your neighbors and get help if you need it. So if you're an organization offering food or services, or you're seeking donations or volunteers, please let me know. My email address and cell are at the bottom of every email.
Each of these emails should take about three minutes to check each day. We publish at 6 a.m. weekdays.
OK, here we go!
1. The Beacon has a nice roundup of all the election results
It's not behind a hard paywall. If you hit your article limit, you can find the full results at the Summit County Board of Elections website.
2. Akron voters approved civilian police oversight
It wasn't even close: 62% to 38%. This charter amendment scraps the mayor's alternative plan. And they'll begin accepting applications soon.
3. People need to stop attacking referees
We've reported before on the increase in violent behavior and verbal abuse directed at sports officials. These people aren't paid enough for this (not that there's a salary that would justify treating officials like garbage).
4. Somebody called in a bomb threat to Bath Elementary School
"According to Bath police, a voicemail message for the elementary school was left on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 5:25 p.m. with an unspecified threat of harming school property with an explosive."
